KaiWay is a human-centred reflective system designed to help people see what is present more clearly, recover choice and return to life with their authority intact.
What is KaiWay?
KaiWay is a reflective system being developed to make a person's own situation easier to see. It arranges what someone has said back to them, separates what happened from what is being interpreted, and leaves the judgement with the person.
A mirror shows something that is already there. It does not diagnose, prescribe or conclude. A reflection in KaiWay is a proposal that can be questioned, revised or rejected outright, and disagreement is treated as useful information.
Why does KaiWay exist?
Reflective technology is becoming very good at producing confident interpretations of people. KaiWay exists to test a different assumption: that the most useful thing a system can do is make a situation easier to see, and then get out of the way.
People often already hold what they need in order to decide something — it is simply tangled with feeling, memory, obligation and unknowns. The difficulty is usually seeing a situation clearly, not lacking something.
What is human authority?
Human authority means the person keeps the final say over what their experience means and what happens next. A system may describe; only the person decides.
Is KaiWay therapy?
No. KaiWay is not therapy, does not treat conditions and does not replace qualified medical, psychological, legal or financial support. It is not a diagnostic tool, not a coaching programme and not a belief system, and it does not require a particular spiritual or philosophical worldview.
Does KaiWay give advice?
No. KaiWay may offer a possibility, clearly marked as unconfirmed. It does not issue instructions or verdicts about who a person is.
Is KaiWay currently available?
Not yet. KaiWay 1.0 is in development. This website exists so the work can be understood and examined while it is being built.
